The soccer star husband of fashion designer Victoria Beckham says the three cherubs in his newest body art represent his three sons.
Soccer star David Beckham sees himself as Jesus -- at least when it comes to his body art.
Beckham -- the husband of singer/fashion designer Victoria Beckham, a.k.a. Posh Spice -- recently posted a video of himself on his Facebook page explaining his newest tattoo, which depicts Jesus being helped out of his tomb by three cherubs.
"Obviously, the cherubs are boys, so my thought of it is, you know, at some point, my boys are going to need to look after me, and that's what they're doing in the picture," he said. "Everything has a meaning that I've got on me."
The tattoo, on Beckham's upper chest, was done by Mark Mahoney in Los Angeles. Beckham said he sat down for an eight-hour inking session, followed a few weeks later by a four-hour sitdown.
The Beckhams are expecting a fourth child in the summer.
